Dean Lalić was born in 1971 in Rijeka. He has been working as a TV director for more than 20 years. The talk show Otvoreni ekran, which he created, directed and designed, won the 2000 Croatian Journalists Association Award for best TV interview show.

In association with Sanjin Stanić, he directed and produced the documentary film "Rock’n’Roll is to Blame?" winning a special mention at Liburnia Film Festival in 2011., after which it successfully toured the festival circuit. In 2013 it won the best travel film at Interstats Switf Cro festival in Split. He is one of the directors of the International Carnival of Rijeka and in 2004 he produced three commercials for MTV Europe/UK (Carnival Party).

As a producer, he worked on over 20 commercials and promo videos.

As a location scout, he worked on a dozen projects: "Newspapers", "Strike Back" (fiction serials), "Night Boats", "I Act, I Am" (fiction films), "Fernet-Branca", "Angry Birds" (commercials).

A former member of the cultural council for audiovisual activities with the City of Rijeka. He lives and works in Rijeka.
