The Liburnia Film Festival Association (LFF) was founded in August 2014 with the main goal of promoting, encouraging the creation and providing support for the development and advancement of domestic film, video and media culture and art. The LFF Association was, among other things, founded with the aim of gradually taking over the organization of the Liburnia Film Festival from the previous organizer of the Festival – the Delta Association from Rijeka. The establishment of the new association was largely motivated by the effort to ensure the best possible platform for an innovative approach and critical and engaged questioning of the medium of film, outside its usual and expected paradigms, when dealing with film, video and media art in the future.
