The jury of the 23rd Liburnia Film Festival is composed of distinguished figures from the fields of film, art, and culture: Daniel Bukumirović, Olga Dimitrijević, Katerina Duda, Đuro Gavran, Hrvoje Osvadić, and Jelena Pašić, who will award the “Dragan Rubeša” Critics’ Prize. Their diverse backgrounds – spanning directing and production, artistic practices, dramaturgy, and media – ensure a broad perspective in selecting the best titles of the festival’s 23rd edition.
The jury will decide on the awards for Best Film (€1,000), Best Regional Film (€700 and the director’s participation in the Balkan Documentary Center workshop), Best Director (€700 and participation in Ex Oriente Film), Best Cinematography (AVC Group equipment voucher), Best Editing (ACER Croatia video projector), and Best Sound Design (AVC Group voucher). Film critic Jelena Pašić will present the “Dragan Rubeša” Critics’ Award, dedicated to the late prominent film critic and documentary film promoter. This award is given in collaboration with Art-kino. All winning films will receive unique sculptures and plaques created by artist Saša Jantolek.
Daniel Bukumirović
Daniel is the Digital Content Director at United Group and the initiator of the Nova Docu VOD platform, which quickly became a successful documentary VOD catalogue. He began his career at Radio B92, covering protests and the war in Kosovo, where he co-produced his first documentary. In 2004, he founded Mondo, the first Serbian online newsroom and video production company for social media. He later served as Head of Content for Vice Media in the region, and since 2020, he has been working as Digital Content Director at United Group.

Olga Dimitrijević
Olga is a playwright and dramaturge whose work explores themes of social struggles, injustice, female friendships and solidarity, as well as the boundaries of political imagination. She is the author of numerous plays and performances, including Moja ti and The Lepa Brena Project (with Vladimir Aleksić), and co-writer of the film Homelands (2022). Since 2024, she has been pursuing doctoral studies at Central European University in Vienna. She has received multiple awards for her work, including the Sterija Award for Best Play (2012 and 2021) and the Mihiz Award for Playwriting.

Katerina Duda
Katerina Duda is a multimedia artist whose work combines social practices, public space interventions, and film media. She holds a degree in New Media from the Academy of Fine Arts and in Sociology from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Zagreb. She is currently employed as an artistic associate at the Academy of Fine Arts and has participated in numerous international and domestic projects.

Đuro Gavran
Đuro is a director and co-founder of Pipser Production, and the creator of over 30 documentaries and series with more than 15 years of experience in the industry. His work often explores social and economic themes, aiming to inspire positive change within communities. He is the author of the award-winning film One of Us, as well as the series Good Economy, whose second season he is currently working on. He is also developing a new series, Sport to the People.

Hrvoje Osvadić
Hrvoje is co-owner and director of the production company Petnaesta Umjetnost. He began his film career in 2000 and currently serves as president of the Croatian Producers’ Association (HRUP). He is also a member of the European Film Academy (EFA), where he actively contributes to the development and promotion of the European film scene.

Jelena Pašić – “Dragan Rubeša” Critics’ Award
Jelena holds a degree in Art History and Ethnology, with a focus on film, photography, and related media. She has worked with film festivals for over a decade (Zagreb Film Festival, ZagrebDox) and is a member of the Croatian Film Critics’ Association. A longtime editor of the Vizkultura portal, she now curates the Short Tuesday program for the Croatian Film Association. Jelena presents the “Dragan Rubeša” Critics’ Award, which recognizes innovative and critically relevant film projects.
