ABOUT THE MOVIE
The school is dislocated to the street, temporarily. During one pre-Valentine’s Saturday, a group of students, two teachers, two photographers and a cameraman are gathered in front of Gimnazija Eugena Kumičića Opatija. They are carrying a photographic and a video camera, a 90-gram paper, acrylic paints and brushes. They defy the drizzle, the disgraceful messages of hate speech and the set educational practices that everyone is fed up with. This is guerilla de-graffitiing, the act of covering messages of hate speech with antipodal messages which intentionally derogate both the message and the author. Eight students, eight facades, eight posters. All locations have been temporarily de-graffitied with messages of tolerance, peace and love.
