ABOUT THE MOVIE
InIn the Dalmatian hinterland, not far from tourist destinations on the Adriatic coast, the local population is forgotten – roads are neglected, there is no public transport nor social life. The main source of income for the locals is their flocks of sheep, but wolves increasingly attack the livestock, while wind farms and quarries are spreading unstoppably. Among the locals, a story is spreading that the European Union and the Croatian government secretly bring wolves by helicopters to disperse the population and free up space for new industries.
Jadran Boban
Jadran Boban is a film director. He graduated from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Zagreb with a degree in History and Archaeology. He worked for many years as an illustrator and graphic designer. His works have been featured in four solo exhibitions and dozens of group exhibitions across Croatia and internationally. He has directed several documentary films, including "Ghosts of Zagreb", which received the Special Award at the Liburnia Film Festival and was screened at ZagrebDox and the Ji.hlava International Documentary Film Festival, and The Other Village, which won an award at the Southeast European Film Festival in Los Angeles. His latest film, "Wolf Feast", had its world premiere at the 2025 Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival as part of the Doc@PÖFF programme.
