ABOUT THE MOVIE
The Monument to the Uprising of the People of Banija and Kordun was built in 1982 on Petrova Gora, the most famous work of sculptor Vojin Bakić and one of the most significant modernist monuments in Europe. Since Croatia's independence, it has been deteriorating due to weather conditions and human activity – burglars strip it of its stainless steel cladding, while Čedomir Studen repairs the damage daily. Anti-fascist associations, the Serbian National Council, and surrounding municipalities dispute over its management, while the monument continues to provoke reflection.
Mladen Ivanović
Mladen Ivanović completed his undergraduate studies at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Cetinje and a master's degree in documentary film directing from the Academy of Dramatic Art in Zagreb. His debut documentary, "In Between" (2015), won the award for Best Debut Film at the Balkan New Film Festival (BaNFF) in Stockholm, Sweden. He is currently in post-production of his first feature-length documentary. Ivanović is the founder and director of the Kino Klub Podgorica. In addition to his filmmaking work, he is a psychotherapist in education trained in transactional analysis, with extensive experience leading workshops and art-therapeutic groups.
