ABOUT THE MOVIE
The boys say they play hard, but that this is the only way to play. Football is a weekly ritual, and everybody is welcome - acquaintances, work colleges, friends of friends, just to complete two teams of five. The film follows the aftermath of an event in which „hard“ didn't mean the same thing for all the players on the field. Passion for winning, exhaustion, a group that does not know each other well and a bit of manly pride are all the ingredients that are needed for good old fashioned fistfight. When was the tipping point, why is someone sorry and someone laughing, who got stitches and who got kicked from the team- the boys try to explain to themselves and to the author.
Dražen Puklavec
Dražen was born in Virovitica in 1985. As a little boy, he liked English, chemistry and animals and his biggest idol was Sir David Frederick Attenborough. He studied Phonetics and Croatian language and literature at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zagreb. He spent eight years volunteering for the European Youth Parliament and during that time he had different jobs that were not very interesting, but still educational in many ways. Since 2012 he is working at the Croatian National Radio as a journalist and a radio show host. In autumn of 2015 he enrolled in Restarts school of documentary film because making movies seemed like a good idea.
