ABOUT THE MOVIE
“I don't know where I'm going, but when I die, I would like to be cremated and put in a nice ashtray“, wrote the 14-year-old Luka Ritz, contemplating about the meaning of life. Even in his wildest dreams he probably did not expect it would happen so soon. But it did – less then four years later. His beating and death in 2008 and a months-long search for the perpetrators has shocked the general Croatian public and launched a strong citizens' initiative against juvenile violence. This intimate story was taking place far from public scrutiny. This is a documentary about a traumatic loss of a single son, best friend and boyfriend which not only tells the story about Luka's loved ones over a one year period after his death, but also underlines the importance of civic solidarity and activism in today's society.
