ABOUT THE MOVIE
"My Universe" follows a complicated relationship between a Russian immigrant mother and her feminist street artist daughter.
Nastja is a 32 years old Croatian artist, who is known for her flower-shaped vagina murals on the streets of Zagreb. Her mother Galja works as a tourist guide for Russian speaking groups and does not approve of her daughter’s lifestyle.
But the two have more in common than they would like to admit to themselves.
Yuliya Molina
Yuliya Molina was born in 1983 in Mariupol, Ukraine. She graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Ljubljana, majoring in Sculpture. After her studies, she attended the workshop of Luksuz Production in Ljubljana and Restart's School of Documentary Film in Zagreb. She is currently a student at MA Documentary Film at the Department of Film and TV Directing at the Academy of Dramatic Arts in Zagreb.
