This documentary-feature film chronicles a human tragedy. It brings the testimony of the surviving participants of the tragic march across Matić poljana in the winter of 1944. Due to the controversies that followed this event, the author's intention was to deprive this story of any political-ideological influences.In the winter of 1944, the partisan units of the Second Brigade of the 13th Primorsko-goranska Strike Division fought hard and exhausting battles in the Lika area. The Headquarters of the Division headed by Commander Veljko Kovačević and Commander of the Second Brigade Viktor Bubanj make the decision to send the Brigade to the free territory of Gorski kotar via the slopes of Bjelolasica. The decision to send the Brigade on a march of 52 km in difficult weather conditions and on a very demanding route will cause controversy, years after this event.
