ABOUT THE MOVIE
When filmmaker Tatjana Božić has for the umpteenth time found the love of her life and again things threaten to go terribly wrong, she decides that she should turnover a new leaf. This relationship must succeed! Tatjana visits five exes in Moscow, Hamburg, London and Zagreb to find an answer to the question why all her love affairs always end on the rocks. With a good dose of self-mockery, but also with deeply felt passion, she unravels her past relationships and she confronts her (ex-) men and herself with the complexities of contemporary loving. The documentary is a confrontational, emotional, but at the same time humorous film, easily recognizable to everyone of us, in which the filmmaker staunchly keeps searching for the holy grail of love: the Happily Ever After!
Tatjana Božić
was born in Karlovac in 1971. She moved to Moscow in 1986 and took her degree in TV Journalism from the Moscow State University Lomonosov. From 1993 to 1996 she attended postgraduate studies at the Documentary Department of the Directing and Screenwriting College in Moscow. Her graduation work, „ProvincialGirls“ (co-directed with Frank Mueller) won a Grand Prix for Best Russian Documentary Film at the festival in Ekaterinburg. In 1998, the script for her documentary film „My Home Town“ received financial support from the Soros Documentary Fund. In 1999, she co-founded Fade In production studio, together with Hrvoje Mabić and Marko Zdravković. It is a non-profit production studio focused on socially committed films and civil society issues. In 2002 and 2003 she directed, shot and edited „A Woman with a Camera“, a series of intimate travel documentaries.
