ABOUT THE MOVIE
The children of the Rikard Katalinić Jeretov school in Opatija made this film after the trees that they had planted in the schoolyard, disappeared. They participated in the extracurricular eco group that was focused on the project "Precious Plastic" and shot 4 films on the topic. With this film they wanted to send a message that they have the right to live in a greener, sustainable world. They count on the local community to support them.

Ivana Uremović Gašić is a professor of Italian language and literature and I works at the Elementary School "Rikard Katalinić Jeretov" Opatija. In addition to classes, she leads an extracurricular activity on the topic of ecology. She lives in Opatija between the forest and the sea with her husband, two children, a parrot and a dog. She dedicates her free time to them and to personal development.This year, the class joined the global project "Precious Plastics", for which they recorded several videos in order to initiate the community to think critically about the depletion of natural resources and the destruction of the environment. While working at the school, in cooperation with colleagues and children, they realized two picture books on the theme of local legends, which were published and affirm the moral values in Croatian, local dialect and Italian language.
