ABOUT THE MOVIE
The documentary “Comrade Ferlin” portrays a remarkable 80-year-old retiree from Vodnjan, Anton Ferlin, his vivid everyday life, and underlines his distinctive generation, native and personal features. The film’s multifaceted approach points out the protagonist’s attitude toward various present-day social issues – antifascism, labour force, capitalism, local identity, family, ideals, humanity and alienation. This is a film about the present that doesn't regret the past, about those who, even in advanced age, live a fulfilled life and choose humanity over wild capitalism.
