During the Liburnia Film Festival, we organize education and discussions dedicated to film.
Since its third edition, the Liburnia Film Festival has regularly organized a free educational program, in collaboration with Filmaktiva from Rijeka (My First Shooting), and Restart from Zagreb (First Steps in Filmmaking). Since 2021, the LFF has also introduced a Rough Cut workshop for documentary projects that are in the rough cut phase.
At Drink with the Author, in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, you can find out how the film that is competing for one of the festival awards was created, what doubts and challenges authors of the film had during the making of the film, who they collaborated with and why, and who provided them with support. This is also an opportunity to share with them your view of the film that you were able to watch on the Summer Stage the night before, and for them to also receive feedback on their work.
In the second part of the discursive program, every year we host a case study of one of the most successful Croatian documentaries and a panel discussion on a given topic.
