Nikolina Barić was born in Zagreb in 1982. She graduated from the Academy of Dramatic Arts and from the Zagreb’s Faculty of Philosophy and Social sciences. She started making films in high school earning the 1st prize at the Croatian Youth Film Festival in Pregrada. During Academy years she took part in Sarajevo Talent Campus and directs Sarajevo Spring, a short film produced by The Sarajevo City of Film Foundation. She also works for Croatian National Television and as an assistant on feature film productions. As an independent producer, in 2013 she made her short documentary The Girls from Banija Forest, and she co-produced her graduation film Maša. Her films were screened in festivals and on television. In 2017 she starts shooting her latest film Doctor, I'm going to My Grave, which she finishes in December 2019 with the financial support from Croatian Audiovisual Centre and The Croatian Film Director's Guild.

Zagorje, Croatia. Little isolated region on the Croatian-Slovenian border. And a small GP office. The director is filming her mother’s GP practice while fighting the ineffective health system andtroublesome patients. In the end she also fights herself, trying to figure out how long will she continue to work while young doctors keep emigrating from Croatia on daily basis.
