Enrico Marotti: This is my race

(WORLD PREMIERE) Synopsis:

When Enrico Marotti won his first ‘elimination race’ at the World Cup in Denmark in September 2019, it was the culmination of his sporting career. The crown for the thousands of hours he spent at sea, for the effort, which in ‘small’ sports such as windsurfing, often unfairly goes unnoticed. The victory in Denmark, in the competition of the world's best windsurfers, was also a kind of turning point for Marotti, who finished the season among the ten best sailors in the world.
The film "Enrico Marotti: This is my race" follows the life of the only professional windsurfer from Croatia. It all started in Volosko, a small town near Opatija, and the bay of Preluk, where almost every day in the early morning between five and seven o'clock the north wind of the tramontana blows, which is an ideal training ground for sailors from Kvarner.
As Enrico Marotti grew up near Preluka, it was quite normal for him to enroll in the Optimist class at the Opatija sailing club as a child. At a younger age, Enrico did not achieve notable sports results, but he fell in love with sports and sailing, which was a great basis for the transition to windsurfing, in which he became the national champion at the age 19.
His passion for sailing, perseverance and hard work brought him to the very top of world windsurfing. His goal, he says, is to become the best in the world.
